What action would you take? - Rape Board

You come home to find your partner tears and they tell you that they were raped by someone you both know say a friend of the family at a party that you were all at last week but your partner did not tell you at the time as they was too ashamed and now your partner does not go to the police.

Now i could think of a few options.

1. Go to the police against your partners wishes which really the police would need a victim to support the proceddings and since they have showered etc since then and there is very little change of DNA evidence which the courts practically insist on these days for a conviction.

2. Go around and beat the shit out of them and may face prosecution yourself.

3. There is nothing i can do.

Also i have left it gender un-specific so female members can answer "if the shoe were on the other foot"

What would you do or would you do anything different?

Before proceding with no2, I'd go to the store and buy a baseball bat. Prosecution is no problem, it's a twocut sword for him, you only need to make sure he knows that.

I have a feeling this may show how..... either loving or insane I am, but I'd go round that persons, regardless of gender, torture them in various ways (watching 24 and Asian films are good research), then kill them in a slow and extremely painful way, maybe chop off a few limbs in the meantime for good measure and cauterize the wounds as well.

If I couldn't make it so I could do all that without getting caught then I'd do this:

Go in, incapacitate the person somehow, maybe a baseball bat to the face or chloroform or something, snap their vertabrae at the back so they were paralysed from the neck down, then inject alcohol into the front of their brain (this is basically a labotomy) so they'd pretty much be a vegetable, but trapped in their own body unable to do anything at all for the rest of their life.

Yeh, it's best not to get on my bad side

Let's see, I'd order desert ants anonymously through a postal drop. Use one of the many abandoned warehouses around here to construct a sound proof room then kidnap the rapist and chain him to a table. Cover 'em with honey and let the ants do their work. It will be long and painful, until they make their way through his nose and eat his brain, one little bite at a time.

But i have a bit of an interest in history (Celts/Medieval etc) and i think i'd probably opt for number 2, but first off i would get hold of a Judas Cradle

The Judas Cradle was a torture where the victim was placed on top of a pyramid-like seat. Their feet were tied to each other in a way that moving one leg would force the other to move as well and so increasing pain. Some torturers would tie ropes to the victim's feet so they could pull them down or move their body in circles around the pyramid to make it more humiliating and painful. in essence they would be very slowly impailed by what ever orafice you saw fit to use it on.... erm ok im off for a lie down in a darkened room now....

Unfortunately, I think most people (including myself) would be left with the #3 option.. Do Nothing. Does not sound great but is the most likely outcome. However, most of us will initially choose a variation on the #2 option. If I went down that road I would leave the revenge activity in the hands of people who know how to handle it. They are available. They cost money. But not as much as most believe. A beating and gang rape at the hands hired assaillants would be the probable course of action. Pictures/tape/soundtrack of attach as proof of job completion.
Still I don't know how sweet the revenge would be. I think we all hope we would do something.
But I'm not so sure.

Murder is no problem for me... but it depends on who ill kill. i admit, i cant kill a hardworking man who only want nothing but to put food on his family's table and to raise his kids properly. but a jerk on the street that thinks he owns the world and that he is the most important being in our society, that no problem. ill give a slo,w painful, and embarassing death.
