No, I just don't see it. For a start, Thatcher has a much more pointed nose, her eyes are wide and bright, whereas Merkel has piggy eyes. Thatcher stood aloof, tall, proud, she had bearing. Merkel slouches. These aren't just matters of grooming. There may be a slight similarity in the shape of the cheeks and chin, but that is about it. I think once again, your problem is in perception if your eyesight doesn't trouble you.
