Rowlett teen playing Pokemon Go stopped by police impersonator:

A teen playing Pokemon Go was approached by a police impersonator in Rowlett on Friday, police said.
Around 11:30 a.m. a 14-year-old was walking through Community Park located at 8500 St. Andrews Lane in Rowlett when a Rowlett police car pulled up alongside him.
A male in his 30's got out of the vehicle and told the teen that his mother was looking for him and asked him to get inside the car so he could drive him home, police said.
The man was wearing an orange T-shirt, denim jeans, cowboy boots and a fake-looking police badge on his chest.
The teen did not believe the man was a real police officer and told him he was going to make a call to see if he was really an officer.
The man then got back into the car and drove off heading east on Waterview Parkway toward Elm Grove Road.
He was in a black and white Dodge Charger that said "Rowlett Police" in blue letters on the side, which is not used on current Rowlett police vehicles.
The suspect's car also had a clear light bar mounted on the top, but it did not have a front push bumper.
Police believe this isn't the first time the impersonator has struck.
A woman called the Irving Police Department on June 23 after reportedly being stopped by a man in a Rowlett police car. She did not believe he was really an officer, so she called police to confirm and when she did, the suspect took off.
The descriptions of the vehicle and suspect in both cases are identical, police said.
The man was described as roughly 5-6 and balding with brown curly hair and rimless glasses.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the man to call 911, contact the Rowlett Police Department at 972-412-6200 or call the police department in the location where the impersonator's vehicle is seen.
