There is a rat infestation on this board. Rats report links to the file host for either copyright infringement or banned content.

I’ve had multiple threads and several individual posts gutted like fish. Old movies, independent films and short clips are less vulnerable but are still reported by rats and deleted by the file host from time to time. Newer movies by major producers disappear very quickly. The use of obscure nonsensical titles serve no purpose. Rats can copy and paste “x27kliy.rar” just as easily as “Titanic.rar”. Winrar and passwords are also ineffective.

The “Private Section” provides a degree of protection for the poster, creates members from non-members and turns lurkers into contributors. It’s a win win win for the board and its members.

Length of membership, board participation (number of posts) and reputation are all factors in the admission process. Currently, neither “Crotch_Ripper” nor I can admit anyone to the “Private Section”. Only Somedude can admit new members. Somedude has stated that he has approved 90% of all requests.

BTW, as a crude form of pre-approval, I routinely give a positive rep to practically every request for admission.
