Re: torrents... I've had the same problem for years. Check the"files" and make sure that the movie isn't at 100% and that all you're missing is a bunch of srts or DVD covers that other people (seeders) chose not to download.
Also, I've had some degree of luck correcting fractured downloads with programs such as DivFix and the corrections were by in large, flawless.
