Drug and drunk rape? Perhaps because it's just convenient a way to get one's rocks without the hassles of "social niceties," paying for dinner, etc.

Also: it isa form of power: the victim is completely powerless, in a manner of speaking. Perhaps it's analagous to a weakling beating up cripple.
