I can't swear to it, but I don't think fox hunting, pro or con was a hot button issue in west Belfast, the bogside or south Armagh. As to being told to leave Ireland, that choice was sometimes given to low level informers. The number of refugees fleeing state sponsored pogroms far out numbered anyone banished by the IRA.
