The very idea that so many people could mistreat a child, let alone a family member, fills me with a terrible sadness. I am amazed you came to be a functional human, and one of such high quality to top things off. In my opinion you not only embody the term "bravery", but have become someone I will cherish having had the pleasure to know/speak with.
