2shake,

I apologize for hijacking your thread. BTW, thanks for the best quality burn of the Accused that I've seen. If it's okay with you, I would like to replace the links in my thread with yours.

I put a response to donna69111's question in the Movie Tech thread, copied the address bar and then pasted it to a response in this thread.

When you responded, I checked and my post was gone. For that matter, all other threads were gone. Just a couple of antique stickys remain.

To donna69111:

RAR files are compressed archive files produced by a separate program that can split a file into smaller and easier to handle chunks. They are not video files, but they can contain video files or practically anything else. I've never heard of a problem here, but always use caution before opening any unknown executable file.

I open them with a program accessed from WWW.rarlab.com. It is freeware that has an annoying pop-up that you can ignore or you can make it go away after a small nominal fee is paid.

Once the archive is successfully decompressed and joined together, open the product or parent file with the correct program.

The vast majority of the files here are video files. I use VLC media player.

It is freeware from: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html.

Good Luck
