There is no fiction of majority rule. Sinn Fein signed up to Good Friday, and power sharing. That is where we are now, not back in 1922. The British government no longer singles out Irish Catholics for rough treatment. You suggested earlier in this thread that victims of IRA killers need to "get over it". Well may be the republican movement needs to get over itself and accept that for now at least, there will be no single Ireland, and Westminster is still firmly in charge.

Or do they prefer war?
