This is a potential problem with the EU approach to Brexit, and their insistence that the UK still be subject to EU law when we leave. Any cross border criminality will only be exacerbated if the EU imposes a border in Ireland. It is worth remembering that the UK and Ireland had a customs waiver agreement that precedes our EU membership, so it is the EU that would be imposing a border.
It is funny though how people who claim to want to "unite" Ireland actually benefit from it being divided.
