After watching an old episode of Star Trek (TOS) where they went to a doomed planet where the inhabitants had gone back to a particular part of history, I started wondering, where would I go back to, and live how?

Ancient Rome, maybe a rich merchant with lots of slave girls?

Mongol warlord raping and pillaging across the world

Victorian gentleman of pleasure

Middle Eastern prince with harem

So many choices!!!!!!

Actually decided teenager in middle class USA in the 50's, it just appeals to me.

Anyone else given any thought as to if they could time travel just the once what they would want to be and why?

I'd like to be Eve, and would kill the snake instead of taking the apple!

If I could go back for a day I would go back to the Caribbean during the early 18th century. But in all honesty I wouldn't want to live in a time period other than my own. Hooray for indoor plumping!

I want to go back to 1960, because it was a revolution of change. I would love to have done something to have made a difference.

My favorite time period however is between 1880-1910. I love the style of everything from the era...the lifestyle, the buildings, the way of dress....everything about that time. That time also yielded change.

Now.

Who wants to die of consumption or some other victorian era disease?

I think maybe the 40s - just after WWII ended - the women were hot for the men returning from the war.

How about a time BEFORE history...when you could do what you pleased, which whomever you pleased, and none of those pesky "laws" to get in the way. :D
