How is everyone taking the news that Yahoo is shutting down the classic YIM program soon?

Sad news indeed though I have to say a couple of years ago I had many contacts that I used to chat with who all seem to have disappeared. Is their an alternative messenger prog we can use, can anyone help with this

Sad news indeed. I have tried paltalk. But not many people there. Skype has similar features but rebuilding a friend list is tedious. Yahoo still has a messenger version but it is lacking a lot of the features that made it as good as it was. Literotica has a chat function but lacks the ability to exchange pics, voice, cam etc. All in all, yahoo's demise is a great loss.

if you are on a mobile platform, kik is a very simple and easy to use chat program.

Any updates on a equal or better chatting platform? I loved the camming ability yim had.

I have no problems with it Blackfive and still have the same log in!!
