The money and perks here are extremely good, so realistically I'll probably stay here until retirement in about nine years. I've been able to buy a second home up here, so I may come up for summer visits after retirement, maybe during the July-August months when it gets way too hot down south.

The problem in the USA is that most people don't give a fuck what happens in the wider world. Show tham a world map and see how many can point to China, India, Ireland or Britain, never mind Ukraine.

Hell, show most of them a map of the USA and most probably can't find Washington DC or even their own home state.

Speaking of snow there is a chance that will be getting, according to the NWS, an"astounding" amount of snow on Tuesday in NJ. Can't wait for that.
