I just went on Rotten Tomatoes to look at some movie reviews and this was the first thing on the front page: "Check out new pics from Elisha Cuthbert's kidnapped model-torture flick, out next month."

Maybe this fetish is even more mainstream than I imagine!

Wouldn't surprise me. Isn't rape fantasy really a common thing for most women, anyway? That's what sells all those romance novels.. and so much of the thinly disguised historical fiction.. adventure stories.. Hell, even spy novels, crime/drama, horror. It's really not as obscure as most people imagine.

That film is "Captivity" but there aren't any rape scenes unfortunately. Advertisements of Elisha being "killed" were on over 1000 taxis in New York but they were pulled.

Yeah, mainstream films tend to make some audiences squirm awkwardly when they introduce 'explicit ideas'. I tend to watch a few certain Tartan Asia Extreme films to fill that void :D

In fact, I haven't bothered with a 'mainstream' film since Hostel, unless I get dragged to the cinema by my hubby... hmm, now there's an idea.. cinema rape...;)
