Will Britain leave the European Union?

Will Britain have the balls to start the rescue of Europe or just follow an Islamic pied piper into the English Channel?

Or, has it gone too far to be rescued?

Churchill has to be spinning in his grave like a Dremel tool.

I'm amazed that this has been sitting here for hours and FR hasn't posted! Maybe he's out committing acts of political violence...:skull-big

HRH1948 06-23-2016 09:08 PM

!

With the utmost respect Mr. Somedude, I state the following:

Even though I agree with the majority of the political views of Fucking Clueless, he's probably out girding his loins for the inevitable butt fucking that the soon to be majority British Muslim contingent will inflict upon the wimpy British Christian masses. Please note that I no longer use the term "Great" Britain. The dickless twits can no longer lay claim to be anything "Great"!

Damn, I miss the Battfink! He had a magical light that somehow made sense of a perverse method of mass insanity that is Britain!

Just a Texan's take on the fucked up mess that is Britain!

It's no fucking wonder that my paternal Scottish ancestors came to Texas!

My guess is FR is out looting, raping & pillaging. Not in that order.

Could the UK be throwing off the yoke of the EU?

FuckingRotter 06-24-2016 05:30 AM

I was studying, sleeping, studying, you bunch of tossers. Haven't you Septics heard of time zones?

Crotch_Ripper 06-24-2016 07:16 AM

When I call up the relatives in Italy I always tell them "Time is the same everywhere" LOL

HRH1948 06-24-2016 09:27 AM

Wow, the election outcome really surprised me. Maybe there's hope for Britain afterall.

One small step for Britain, one giant leap for sovereignty.

I confess that I don't know a lot about it. But is the main reason for leaving due to immigration?

FuckingRotter 06-24-2016 01:09 PM

No. It is one reason. Presently, the United Kingdom is legally bound to accept any person that is a E.U citizen. This includes criminals. We are also unable to deport E.U citizens if they commit a crime here.

Further to this, the E.U Schengen area open border policy means that it is very easy for some one to enter the E.U at the eastern end and then cross Europe unchallenged until they reach the western coast of France. There are currently tens of thousands of illegal immigrants camped out there, attempting to cross in to the United Kingdom illegally. There have been riots, vehicles hijacked and people threatened. Even the Channel Tunnel has been attacked, and has had to close several times because of this.

Bizarrely, the United Kingdom made a law that penalises any British truck driver if these illegals manage to sneak across stowed away in vehicles.

There are plenty of other reasons why many wanted either for the European Union to reform, or for us to leave altogether.

Amongst this, the European Court of Justice can over rule any decision made by our parliament, or in our courts.

The European Union does not have trade agreements with many of the worlds most successful economies, including the U.S.A, China and India. By E.U law, the U.K is not able to negotiate its own trade deals with the U.S.A, China and India. We are also not able to impose tariffs on nations whose exports might damage our own industry. For example, the U.S.A can impose crippling import tariffs on Chinese steel exporters, to protect its own steel industry. The United Kingdom can only impose the standard E.U tariff, which seems to be not enough to prevent the Chinese from flooding the U.K with cheap steel and damaging our industry.

Many perceive that E.U expansion may have contributed to the civil war in Ukraine, and that despite claims (false) that the European Union has kept peace in Europe since the end of WWII, the E.U may actually bring war to Europe.

Another perception is that the E.U is inward looking, isolationist, stifles competition and innovation, is undemocratic, and is destroying the economies and cultures of many member nations in the pursuit of a political ideal of a United States of Europe.

People may faint, however, I actually agree with FR on something and think that the UK leaving the European Union is a smart idea! In the short term it will certainly cause economic problems in the United Kingdom and around the world and could cause some political issues within the UK with the populace of Scotland seeming to love the EU. The thing is that the European Union is an organization that under its current name only dates to 1993 and its predecessor organization the UK only joined in 1973. Since the European Union officially came into existence in its current form in 93 it has staggered around for a couple of decades slowly changing from an economic association into a half assessed confederation of states that threatens the sovereignty of its members. The EU is never going to work and the UK was smart to never join the Eurozone and is smart to get out of the EU while the getting is good so they can stop pouring ten billion pounds a year down the EU sinkhole!

FuckingRotter 06-24-2016 02:46 PM

You probably meant to write "half-arsed confederation of states". You are right though, it was the "ever closer union" and the transition from a common market, through European Council to European Union, that has long baffled the British public, because they were things that we never voted for. It was just some thing that the political parties here consented to.

FR posts two articulate, well balanced and thoughtful posts in a row! Impressive!

FuckingRotter 06-25-2016 01:13 PM

All my posts are articulate, well balanced, thoughtful and impressive. What happens is, when I post some thing far beyond your comprehension, your blood boils your brain. This seems to happen nearly every time I post, so I thought I'd keep it simple for a change! After all, you're an old man, and boiling old mans brains just isn't cricket you know?

HRH1948 06-26-2016 09:02 AM

Two in a row and then back to the same old tired rambling drivel.

Sadly, you seem to relish childish boring unimaginative twaddle.

Not to worry, you old cunt. Cameron is making a complete pigs ear of it here, so you can carry on blathering on about how you can't believe what we've come to until your pension runs out. Or your cattle. Whichever happens first.

grants70 06-27-2016 06:57 PM

It will be interesting to see if things work out after what looks like initial unbridled panic and gloom. If it does work out good for you guys, other European countries might even follow you out the door?

FuckingRotter 07-11-2016 01:42 PM

Hungary is about to hold a referendum on whether it should accept a quota of refugees that have been allocated to it by the European Commission. They risk a fine of around £255million if they don't accept the quota. I seriously doubt if the refugees themselves would be too happy if they landed in Hungary. I'd imagine they'd want to be some where like the U.K, Sweden, or Germany.

Clever move calling for a referendum. That way it's the people who decide and the government can't be blamed for the outcome.

HRH1948 07-15-2016 11:02 PM

You've got to give the Muslims remarkable credit when it is deserved. They orchestrate the failure of third world nations (with the help of Obama and his wrinkled whore, Mrs. Clinton) and then they send their "refugees" in mass all over the world. Unfortunately for Christians, the "refugees" are trained assassins intent upon killing the stupid ass bleeding heart liberal dick wads that fell for their ploy.

Unfortunately, no one reads or tries to understand history. Therefore. we are condemned to repeat it all over again. It's Arthur Neville Chamberlain again and again. Damn, where is Winston!

Where is simple logic!

FuckingRotter 07-16-2016 06:51 AM

HRH, it's divide and rule and we're getting it in all holes! Every libertarian worth their salt knows full well that the only useful function of government is to provide a secure society for the citizenship. If there were no perceived threats to our security, we'd probably begin to question the very existence of the political class, and they probably fear that more than any thing.

So instead we get a little bit of collusion between Islam and the West, and we're all falling over each other in the rush to hate the other man/woman/gender-flexible-person. Stick Russia and secular division in the mix just to make matters worse.

Divide and rule IS simple logic, it is the muddied waters that it has created that makes some believe it is complicated.
