I have a longtime friend who's an escort. She worked for a local agency on a p/t basis along with a regular job , before going indy with her own website.

A few years back, a client booked her over the internet, and once she got to his motel room, it turned about to be someone she knew. It may have been one of her brothers friends from growing up..... anyways, they knew each other. They did the call regardless.... and a few days later she received an email. This guy was demanding sex on a semi regular basis or he was going to contact her family (mom and dad, her kids) and tell them that she was hooker. This posed a huge problem in my friends life, as she was close with her family, though they had no knowledge of the escorting.

She declined his demands...... and he indeed did tell her family that she was a hooker. Her mom and dad turned their backs on her feeling quite betrayed.

So here's my question to you.... What would it take for you to be blackmailed? what kind of dirt does someone have to have on you, that you would drive out to some seedy motel and let someone do you hard..... just to keep their silence?

Perhaps its something that if got to the surface of your everyday life you could lose your job? Your family? Would hurt a good friend? A puppy would die? What would it take to get you on your back..... and knees..... and stomach...... all fours... your back again.... (you get the picture) ;)

I am a blackmail fan, so I have thought about this a lot, I have even come up with my own rules, kind of a pervi, and non pervi variantion on Assimov's rules of robotics. here is a very, very rough version, they are still in the process of being refined

1 Research your victim...make sure they are not of the publish and be damned type
2 Never payments affordable...no good asking someone on the dole for a million quid
3 Always make sure that the result is far greater than payment...lose of job and lifestyle is one thing, jail is another
4 Give them an out date, and stick to it...the longer the blackmail goes on, the more chance they may just think fuck it, to hell with the consequences and go to the police anyway, especially if you keep coming back for more, even after you have promised to stop.

See what I would have do is start with small payments, £50-£100 a month, gradually racking up the pressure a little at a time, then when it becomes unmanagable, give her a choice, exposure, or a week of meeting in a motel room, nothing barred, and then it will all be over. Chances are, she would seize the chance to end it, no matter what happens. Oh yes, and make sure you get her on a camera saying how much she wants to fuck you, and send the money back at the end. If anyone then asks, you can then try and spin it as she was asking you for a R/L roleplay

Though can I warn you about using real life incidents here, I am talking in a fantasy setting...

This woman is stupid, she should have just taken the e-mail to the police.

It may not have been an email, the threat may have been made over the phone, or in person... It was a few years ago and those details escape me... She posted details on her blog/forum and several guys acted the role of white knight, offering to go get even with the guy on her behalf, but she took the high ground... I'll give her that much credit.

But you are correct, she should have gone to the police...

Ah, but when you are being blackmailed over breaking the law, going to the police might not be an option...

The police probably wouldn't be particularly interested in her activities.

Prostitution is legal in Canada providing......

No public Solicitation (street walking)
No Common Bawdy Houses (so the Bunny Ranch is a no go here)
No Living off the avails of prostitution (no pimping out girls)

But... if 2 people make private arrangements to meet up in a motel room, or private residence, there are no rules here that the exchange of money for sex cannot occur.

Canada is actually so progressive that many regional police forces have what they might call a "bad date line"..... to allow escorts an avenue to report when anonymous clients get violent, or commit crimes during the date.

My friend should have reported this....

Edit..... Come to think of it, buddy had a wife and kids..... There are a lot of things my friend should have done. And I made offers (ones that would not end up with me in jail).

But my question is..... What would it take for you to be blackmailed?

If I was approached by someone threatening to tell my family my "online activities".... and that fact that I occasionally hookup with girls to RP rape fantasies.... well, that would be bad. I might consider caving in to demands. I have a very decent career, great friends, but the family is the only thing that would put my back up against the wall. The other stuff.... there are always other jobs, and real friends would be the ones who stick by you in sticky situations anyways. But protecting the family....

(i know its really protecting myself.... but if the family gets hurts.... no. Can't let that happen. Again.)

Oh shit, my job is shit, my missus knows about this site, and we have a 'pragmatic' relationship, and I am off the opinion that today's news is tomorrows chip paper anyway, so I would tell them to go fuck themselves or I would go to the police.

The important word is probably. As, and I am quoting from a UK perspective here, she could not be 100% sure of this, then it would likely come down to how easily scared she was.

I doubt I could be blackmailed IRL, but who cares? I love the fantasy of being coerced by circumstances to do horrible, painful and degrading things without ropes, chains or physical violence - and even act as I liked it.

It damn near worked, too. (The ruining part, not the other.) The trouble with blackmail is that once you shoot your load (figuratively speaking), there's nowhere to go.

One of my fav fantasies. I've tested the waters in real life and i've found several problems: Most guys aren't patient enough to get enough info to do it properly; most guys aren't really interested in blackmail; if they are serious, they release the info in ways that can't hurt.

One guy posted my pics on a website. I looked for hours and couldn't find them. If I knew where to look and couldn't find them, why would I worry about someone I know coming across them? Very low chance.

But yes, there is info that I would not want certain people to know.
