Mainstream Rape v Rape Porn? UK Goverment

Im somewhat confused as to what exactly would determine legal and illegal?

Lets take Irreversible for example, 12 minutes shown worldwide of a woman being anal raped. You can purchase this movie in many store or online for as little as a few bob.

Then lets take the Russian stuff, That wonderful acting we see (rape porn) when we all know fine well that its all put on.

My argument is, mainstream movies show more emotion in the rape scene than the majority of rape porn.

I recently posted the rape scene from GBH - A British movie I may add, which features the rape of a lady police officer, now what i found interesting in this scene was the youths standing around watching this happen and recording it on their phones.

My point in this is - rape porn is standard role play pish, yet mainstream movies that feature rape scenes are probably more likely to heighten peoples adrenaline.

So does this mean that all mainstream movies made moving forward will not be able to feature rape scenes? or that just in the UK we will not be able to own a copy?.

The debate is interesting how people who get off watching rape scenes - are now effectively being classed as pedo's as if we download or watch too much then that's what will happen to us.

Reality is that - before internet was born, child abuse always went on, from Priests to these children homes we hear about in the press nowadays, it is a tragic thing in life. These people that commit these crimes, dont need to watch online videos, unfortunately if they are going to do it, then they will.

I think the UK gov have made a huge mistake here.

and Im sure there is more to come.

Besides - the UK government should be concentrating on - Immigration, unemployment, the banking system, oh and of course fraud expense claims from MP's.

I think these issues are as important if not more.

I'm betting the politicians pushing for this haven't really thought any of this out enough to notice the flaws in their idea.

That's probably because its not the politicians pushing for this legislation.

The internet as it is today is information.... Information is Power.

20 years from now, (probably less then that actually) it will be very controlled. Much like tv and radio. Corporations are hard at work trying to find ways to control, filter, sensor, and present only the information that they can profit from. And silence those who would rock the cash carrying boat. When they find an avenue to do that... they lobby politicians (bribe) to create legislation that will benefit them.

Yes.... the internet is going to be a very different place in the future kids. Mark my words.

Also knowing someone has rape porn on their PC is prime blackmail bait since it would be illegal to own. Could get real ugly for some folks and couples who split.

Streaming rape porn is also going to be illegal.

Having mainstream rape is "probable cause" to look further into your hard drive and probably arrest you pending investigation.

Fucking rediculous.

Well put. I would also add the inconsistency that it is OK to see a woman tortured, dismembered and put to a prolonged and awful painful death in first person graphic detail in a mainstream movie, but to watch a Russian rape video with actors who can barely stop giggling is illegal.

I totally agree with you with what you are writing about mainstream movies and rape porns. I have collection of over 100 scenes of rape from very different mainstream movies and they are fucking intense. Very variable (russian porn is boooring, predictable), emotional, with a lot of humiliation, well played fear, sometime tortures... I never know how the scene is going to end. They do not have cocks and pussies but generally are much more inspiring than "I grabbed you, let's have rough sex".

By the way - in my country there are three kinds of illegal pornography: very rough, with children and with animals. But only children pornography is Very Illegal, like police and prison. Other kinds are just not allowed. So I do not have any problem with being here unless I would try to put a movie on the server in my country. I can choose Russian one and everything is OK. Wish UK something similar...
