My first answer to myself about why the 'in public' scenario is because it adds a bit of humiliation that a private basement cannot. Maybe this comes from watching all of the porno and such, envious of it all.

Perhaps molestation in the privacy of a basement in my mind is rape and nothing more. To me, there is not a difference based on that scenario.

Your point of "do you like giving up control or not having it?" was very insightful. Yes, I believe that molesting in my mind is giving up control and rape is not having any control. So even in these type of fantasies, I am subconciously controlling by selecting the scenario in which to give up control. Hmmmmmmm.

On the topic of rape/molestation, I have to say that my thoughts usually carry from molestation over into rape- I've never just dumped straight into a fantasy of raping someone, there's always a gradual build up.
