How is it that models have to be taller than 175 cm ? (5.74 feet?)
I thought that rule only applied in France, but it seems to be worldwide :confused:

There's a lot of splendid tall girls but petite ladies are also very pretty :confused:

Clothes look better on taller people. Simple as that :)

Also, if fashion designers make all their show outfits the same size, then models would need to conform to that size.

Everyone prefers short girls.

Designers want girls to be built like clothes hangers because they display clothes better. So they go for tall and gaunt. They don't care about the girl. Another pretty face will replace hers in six months.

To be tall and find clothing that actually fits in real life, however, is quite the chore. As well as expensive. I have a woman who does alterations for me. Often. The petite cutie whose pants are too long and can't reach the top shelf is endearing, and makes men feel powerful and needed.

This is true. Being asked by some little old lady to reach something for her every time I go to Tesco, it gives me a boner.

I tend to disagree about that. I'm 6.3 and I prefer not to lean forward double for kissing.

I'm not saying I would reject a relation with a petite girl, of course I would go for it. I'm just saying it feels better if my partner is my size, it's simple things like she can look straight in my eyes without me having to look down, she can put her arms around my neck...etc etc...

Maybe you live in a place where tall people are difficult to find, but you would not feel the same if you came here, or in Holland or Germany.

I hope you don't think I'm trying to hit on you (you're in the wrong side of the Atlantic anyway) but from conversations I'm having with friends I can guarantee there is room for tall girls in men fantasies.

I heart you, CR, but not really. It depends on the brand but if they go up to six feet at all (in spite of my being taller) they're for someone as big around as my fist. I secretly think all pantyhose are actually the same size. If you're shorter you can be fat, if you're tall you have to be skin and bones.

I think its also something about being more visible on the catwalk

Well yes and no, I think if the man is a lot shorter than the woman it can look quite funny, sexist I know, but if you are comfortable than whatever makes you happy.

Myself, well my last ex was about the same height as me, 5'8 and to be honest I find girls and women of most heights attractive.
