It's been a blast... But I'm done.
Well kids, my internet provider has changed their privacy policy to to compete with Google and Facebook, for advertising dollars. They are now openly admitting that they track my where I browse on the internet. Such a buzz kill.
Its been a blast, but I am no longer willing to visit here from home. I may pop in time to time from wifi enabled locations.... we'll see. Policy begins Nov 15 they say...... catch me while you can. And Finally, a big 'Fuck You' to Bell Canada! Cheers! |
Why not switch providers? Was there a tracking picy mentioned in your contract, terms of use, or whatever? If not, I'm sure you could get out of it no problem. Or is the truth that you've realised Rapeboardists are too fucking scary and hardcore, and you're whimping out on us? :P ;)

Plus, so they track you? Then what? Are you going to start getting adverts on Arsebook for that other rival board about rape that nobody that means anything has ever heard of? You're on the best fucking website in the world matey, don't blow it for some big brother paranoia!
|
They only track for advertising huni. Theres no money in ratting people out or villanising their customers for their sexual desires :)

Very true, especially since the jealous BBC put the News of the World out of business!

Don't leave man, I"d be sorry not to see you anymore. I don't know much about the law but I've heard Canada justice were the first to experiment things like 'open penalties' (outdoor work instead of jail time) and such... it seemed to me your justice ain't too bad, and hey, I think all provider are tracking, just for their stats or advertisement as Emy said. It's just a clause in their contracts, they have to to let you know they are tracking so you can't complain, they just make it official, it's not a warning.
Or what you can do is make your wifi in the hotspot mode so you'll say it's your neighbour who's in rape fantasy lol |
FR.... I've never even searched for another board to play on after finding this one. :D
PF... I've got till Nov 15 to figure it out. I know its only for advertising. However, I wouldn't let strangers at the library stand over my shoulder watching what I browsed.... Its worse when your ISP does it. Besides, today its advertising.... God only knows what they will be forced to turn over to our Federal Gov't in secret (if they haven't already). SS..... you just want up my kilt again! :p |

In short if you obey the rules of the board and don't cross the line between fantasy and reality the feds won't care. |
I agree with RapeU's comments, at least as things stand now. But the potential for governmental abuse is definitely there in the future. I would say I'm concerned, but not panicky. I'm here, and I'm posting. But I follow issues of Internet privacy, tracking, data mining, etc., very closely. I share your concerns, IvoryBeast, but I encourage you to stay. You make a valuable contribution here. But only you can decide what's best for you.

Welcome back by the way, flouncer! ;)
