How many of you like their jobs ?

Sincerely,

Does that society still existing ?
Are there really people waking up in the morning with a smile in their faces thinking YEAH another hot fucking day of work !!!!

Honestly, I'm not part of them. Looking bravely for a temporaly job like ego does with his hotel jobs is heroic to me. He deserves a medal. As for me, looking for little short time jobs depress me so bad I really want to swallow all my pills and jump through the window.

Honestly, I live from private incomes and I don't work because I am a social parasite or because everything bothers me. But it won't last forever. I'm back to mathematics now. You know why ? Because I'm gonna check in the psychology university next year, and they use the statistics tools which implies mathematics so I'm preparing myself. Righ now my days look like I wake up in the morning I go to that wi-fi bar, I connect to Rb, I say all the bullshit I have to say, then I go to the supermaket buying some food, I get back to my appartment to eat watching the news (bad mistake) and then I spend the rest of the day reading plato and playing video games. Fuck. It can't stay like this all my life. I need a real profession. I think if I can reach the third year of the university and succeed it, it is called having a licence in French, then I'll be able to work helping outlaw kids in special centers. Or be a shrink assistant taking notes while he's thinking.

Honestly, how many of you like your job ? And Stern, as a native Britt, how did you end up living as a psychoterapist in germany ? How did you manage the language barreer ? That's very impressive to me .

I do. I really like my job  I am a Java programmer and programming, computers and all the things around is my hobby from my childhood.

- I work 15-20 minutes by walk from my house
- it is in newly reconstructed building with sport center (squash, bowling, fitness), restaurant ...
- I get paid quite well for my country
- free access to internet all the day
- partly free working time (it has to be 8 hours/day each month)

So even if the work by itself is quite boring sometimes, yes I can say, I enjoy my job :skull-bee

I love my current one!

Well if you like the great outdoors, no suits to put up with, digging in the dirt, and playing with a 50K pound dozer not fun, well then my job sucks then. But at least I get up and go, no pissing and moaning, and put in my 10 hour day, best part is making fun of those yuppie assholes, and having 20 or 30 men that can put down a few, piss on a tree, and think it's just great.

Java...oh please...(Must be my Microsoft training talking) but a good deal if you like it. ;)

Currently I stay at Czech republic. But in two years maybe we move with my girlfriend to England, Ireland or maybe New Zeland, Australia for a while - just to earn some money and then return back :)

Or we will have a baby, that's second possibility

Like my job. DO NOT like getting up early and, even worse, going to bed early!!!! But I think more money would make me love it! :)

Ragman 06-24-2008 09:47 AM

I am really fond of my job as well. I am a network administrator, so liek Fib i work with computers. I am also part time webmaster/graphic designer for the company I work at.. so there are days when I get to draw all day. I don't think i could function without a job, gives life that little extra bit of purpose..

reanna69 06-24-2008 09:56 AM

I am a night owl but you cant make a living at night. Up early and early to bed! Other than that I like my job.

gaggirl 06-24-2008 09:53 PM

Im sturying to be a registered nurse, so that Ican work in theatre which Ive done as a shitkicker but loved the culture. Right now I do night duty nursing once a week and I fucking hate it. I dont feel rewarded for the time I spend cleaning wet asses and changing sheets!! I do get to have little rape fantasies skulking around the empty home at night but thats about as much enjoyment as I get.

I do like my other job, which is being paid for sex. Sometimes I hate it- usually uif my libido is lacking when Id MUCH rather be doing something else. Then its WORK! but other times its not work its actually fun and rewarding and Im glad I have the option of doing this and getting very well pad for it while I can.

alg9 06-24-2008 09:54 PM

Love my job. But then again, I really set my own hours and everything for it.

MinaPi 06-25-2008 03:31 AM

I love my job! I recently went through a career change and decided to pursue my Master's degree and I was at a crossroads between a job that I wouldn't enjoy but would pay a lot of money, or a career that I'd love but pays no money.

I decided to go with the latter, as I figure that I'd rather enjoy the majority of my hours since work consumes most of our days. I know people who hate their jobs and work hard, and play even harder with the money they make, but I really don't think I can do that. I'd rather love my job and wake up every morning with a smile on my face, and still find enjoyment in my free time.

If you love your job, you don't have to work a day of your life.

RLA68 06-25-2008 07:17 PM

Love what I do. Strive to keep moving up the corporate ladder but I love being a manager over the service deparmtent and having high level customers come to me as in the buck stops here. I love the respect I get from my customers, my other managers and my subordinates as well as enjoy problem solving. I have pretty good knowlege of my field and everything else falls into place. Great company to work for.

JohnnyReb 06-25-2008 10:02 PM

Maybe I'm weird, or lucky, or both, but I've like almost every job I've ever had. The one exception to that, I worked three days and quit.

My last job, I quit for personal reasons. The two before that, at the end, I was sick of it and glad when my last day was over, but there was a time that I had enjoyed both of those jobs.

Was in the air force for 7 years, had a child and got scared of having to be away several months at a time away as they grow sooo fast. Was "ok" but, working for a boss really gets to a person after a while. Started my own business and have never looked back. Best choice I have ever made.

sindyloo 06-26-2008 11:11 AM

I love it as its never ever boring. am always shocked and amused by the people I work with and customers I care for they are all like WTF??? Love working overnights at a huge chain store.

Only thing is tho in the mornings thisbright hot thing in the sky burns my flesh...LOL
