Lesson One. How To Tame A Cat!

Oddly enough I found training the real cat was 100% reward based as punishment to a cat (barring physical pain) is next to meaningless. You just can't train them using the typical punishment/reward structure, they aren't difficult. If those two tiger boys in jumpsuits can train a cat, so can you! <- Figured I might as well share what I learned.

Im not sure I agree with this. I once knew someone who owned a cat and lived in an apartment (so no open space for kitty to run). Now this kitty used to pee and poo all over the place...aforementioned owner would pick the cat up and forcefully rub its face in said mess. Dont judge me, i didnt agree with it, but it has to be said, that kitty grew up into a very obedient cat. Now you could say this was abuse, but as a method of training...it worked.

Please, no-one start banging on to me about how this could then be used as justification for hitting children etc etc...because quite frankly, it wasnt my cat and the guy i knew was a one bang moron. Oh, and ive been visted by the womanly curse for the first time in christ knows how long. And Im just fucked off with it all. :mad:

Ok...I think that last sentence is true of many of us here. Rape play is an important element but has to be seen in context with the wider relationship/sexual life. Strangely, for how we met, my lover and I see rape play as something of many elements within our relationship.

Strange topic of discussion, but for what it's worth, cats are usaully trained to use their litter box by their mothers, very little human involvement required.

They are vindictive little furballs,( Hellcat excluded of course) and often times going where they are not supposed to is a sign that you have pissed them off in some fashion.

The rub their face in it approach is much more common with dogs, most cat's I've known would have shredded someone who tried that.

This may work, mine was 2yo when we rescued him (we live in a highrise condo as well). I've seen this work with dogs as they are much less "carefull". In the wild even lone kittens begin to bury bury their mess. I imagine your friend would have made much faster progress simply washing out the litter pan daily for the first few weeks continually placing the kitty in the correct location for toileting whenever he saw kitty copping a squat. Who knows? There are messed up pets just like there are messed up people.
