Encrypted Files & XP Pro
 

well I gotta let off some steam, but xp pro - man those fuckers making encryption on files like its a great thing.
what they don't tell you is when you do encrypt files, if you don't know shit about computers & stuff, then your up shits creek without a paddle.
if anybody had ever messed with encryption then you know its a pain to deal with, but for anybody that THINKS they can use encryption on files for to be safe from somebody else getting to it, can just leave this thing alone.

ENCRYPTING FILES WITH FUCK YOU UP!!! Once you encrypt a file & save it to a external hard drive like I did, then have your computer to mess up, YOU CANNOT GET ANY FILES BACK ONCE YOU ENCRYPT IT.sure you can edit it & remove the properties while your able to at that moment, but in the long run or for any future use, encryption will keep you from getting your files back, whether its a video, picture, text - anything.

I gotta start all over on what I had.from all the vids I edited personally for me & files that were saved from over years of collecting, are now gone cause I encrypted them & didn't know about what will happen in the future.

i know what you mean dud.came close to doing the same, a bud told me not too.didn't tell me why.now what happened to you i'll stay away.besides if some one gets in they will just get horny.

Guys, just tell the police that your external HDs contain illegal porn and they will decrypt it for you :)

oh it wasn't just porn that I lost, but my family pics from my digital camera, info on my record collection I have (i had).
over 9 years of stuff is gone with the wind.

Did you use the encryption provided by the XP itself? I use 3rd party encryption programs for my stash...hoping it's more stable.

I tried the certificates thing, I tried all the programs (free that is) but nothing worked. shit outta luck.Microsft fucker were gonna charge over 200$ for a reocvery that was not gaureenteed to work.

I leanr things the hard way.
