Personally I don't like it. Mostly because you don't see any penetration (of course, since it isn't a porn movie) and the camera angle remains the same throughout the scene. But one thing is for sure: Mrs. Bellucci is a hell of a good actress.

Although I still think the more brutal scene in that film is the two guys at the beginning (which is really the end, I know) beating the rapist with a fire extinguisher until he has virtually no face left...

Love this version because the sub-titles add to the humuliation and degradation of the victim, e.g. "are you wet or is that blood?", etc.

Not sure about the beating, but it does fall into character with the rest of the movie and the fact that it's confronting adds to the (guilty) pleasure and excitement for me ... especially when you know he's going to get bigtime payback :rolleyes:

I enjoy it for what it is, a well acted, well directed, integral scene of a very bizzare and interesting movie.

Oh, and for those that don't own the DVD and therefore don't have access to the "extras" ... his cock at the end isn't real, it's CGI!

possibly one of the best scenes ever, the beating after is a bit nasty but the rape scene is soooo good!

I only wish there was more main stream as good as this, the only one that comes close I can think is the accused (jodie foster), all the others are either too short, or not realistic enough, and non main-streams always seem to fake, or the girl enjoys the rape! I would much rather the girl crying

Look carefully: the guy they smash up with the fire extinguisher is not the rapist. Mistaken identity. That's the lovely, whimsical irony with the whole film ;)

Personally, I find the rape scene extremely hot, but only in retrospect (which is kind of the cleverness of the film) after you've seen the scenes at the end when she was this sophisticated, happy, everything-to-live-for pregnant girl who refused to let her boyfriend fuck her in the ass. I have the DVD - it's nice to skip back and watch the rape again after that...
