Spammers suck but the admins have got to do something. This board is becoming unreadable b/c of the volume of bullshit.

This is the last time I go back and unban people who get caught up in a spam sweep.

PLEASE stop with the response to the spam. Making several posts about stopping it DOESNT help either.

It makes it more difficult because now we have to go back and unban and undelete all the posts of people who get caught up in it.

If you WANT to HELP ,mass email the board admin and tell him to allow us to MASS BAN IPs. This was under control until he told us to stop this practice and unbanned all the IPs we had shut down.

Responding to the spam posts or making threads about how horrible it is DOES NOT help. It makes it harder to clean up.

I've been posted 'reported' on the walls I have been reporting, just so others don't waste their time reporting twice, does that cause an issue as well?

I'm talking about the keep on spamming posts that are appearing. This doesn't stop anyone from posting in an existing thread, unless its to comment on more spam..

For at least twelve hours yesterday, the site was over run. People will want to comment on that. For my part, I've written to admin as you suggested. Other than to keep on posting and drown the bastards out, we're powerless to do anything.

I know that. It's a bit much expecting regular posters not to vent though. It's not as though some of us are shouting down the board because of it, as has happened in the past. Very much the opposite, we're raising a battle cry for the board!
