Even though your CPU has died, the hard drive will still be intact and you can move the hard drive to an external USB disk to recover the movies.

Don't suppose you know how to recover a harddrive that has lost it's format, do you? I have 50 gigs of movies that are "there" but I can't access and formating the drive will destroy them.

You can try using knoppix to recover your lost hard drive.
I have a friend who has recovered data by putting damaged drive in the freezer for 24 hours in a well sealed plastic bag and that has allowed it to boot long enough to recover data. I've never run that route myself, so would try knoppix as a safe first resort.

But I noticed, the first link in the link-block isn´t clickable i.e. no direct link.

For my first update in a while, i uploaded my Backroom Facials collection. All of these files have been posted here before, not on rapishare i don't think though.
