could we have a thread on this site and the things we can do on it? FAQ is very limited and using the search facility has not gotten me a single hit on any of my many queries. things like giving reputation and rating threads, marking threads as read, showing new replies to theads you have posted on etc...
i've had a fair few questions lately cos i've been bored and nosey(!) and i've just been pm'ing the mods. but surely if i'm wondering maybe others are too?
if i knew enough i wouldnt mind doing it myself but i'm a bit too ignorant!
not sure if this is the place to post this but hey move if not! just let me know where it moved too eh?! still learning my way round after all thhis time!

Anyone whom the moderators feel are breaking our few rules or continuously spamming or insulting other members:-
Warning system.
We have a warning system for 'bad posters'
yellow; 1st warning
orange; 2nd warning, 7 days ban
red;3rd warning, 6 months ban
any more and the ban becomes permanent.
The rules of the board are:
1. NO sex with children ! [no pictures or video of anyone under 18]
2. NO real rape !
3. NO spam !
4. NO links to "bad" sites (viruses, exploits, etc.) !
5. No passwords

This is of course a privilege extended only to the Privileged Members Group. Now for you privilged members who don't know how here is how to customize you title. Go into you User CP, select edit profile, the custom title box is near the top of the screen. Write in your title, then go down to the bottom of the screen and hit the save changes button.
Now customise those title people!

Normally i use NERO SHOWTIME to capture my movie screenshots, but the ones i want to upload run via a divx codec, so nero won't play it, now i believe there is a way of capturing screenshots via Windows Media player but i cannot seem to find on the options where i should be looking, can anyone help??

Or when it's in Full Screen mode, press Print Screen button on the keyboard, then paste in any drawing program. Downside is u can only save 1 image at a time using this method.
Alt-PrtScr to do just a window (instead of the whole desktop) - paste into a paint program (Control-V).
Both video editing programs I use have a screen capture.

hi all. just a reminder as we've had a few issues tonight.
min age for movies/pics etc on main boards....18 years.
min age for story board.....14 years
if you wish to roleplay an underage person this is acceptable...if it is stated that is what you are doing, so all players can be aware of the situation. it would make our lives easier as moderators if you were willing to also state that you are of legal age! so we dont have to pm anyone we dont know to double check!
this may seems excessive but its a dodgy issue so worth clarifying
anything that recieves complaints or is a borderline case may be deleted immediately, just contact any of the mods if you have an issue with such posts
i said in a previous post....do you want to keep the board or not?!

just thougt i'd reiterate for any new members who may not have come across this issue. if you are posting pics of someone you know...you MUST have their consent to post the pics on this site. if you have please state on your post or i'll soon be pm'ing you to check.
anyone posting pics without subjets permission will have them deleted, the first time.
after that its a warning.

as per board regs in FAQ

and no personal insults unless its in the rowdy room ( now renamed night over berlin)
1st offense warning
2nd offense 1 week ban
3rd offense permanent ban

After I came back from holidays the big post with has disappeared! Could U PM me link to this movie or links with caps? Ah! Ok, thanks for info. But what did they do wrong? Movies they sent was not real, only rp fantasy.

This is true, I removed all age references from my stories months ago. But a new member submitted a story containing the 14 age, he deleted it after innocent protested. Personaly, I don't beleive in censoring stories at all, after all it is only words of fantasy, no one gets hurt.

It's illegal to post stories with 18- y.o. and I think it's the only thing to do if users will remove mentions of age (concrete numbers).

As a writer I like to be able to fully describe my characters. Giving the age helps set the stage for the reader but I can tell you that I can draw a picture in your mind with a description that will still have you thinking of the age I want you to think of.
If I tell you that the girl was driving to the mall and had a book bag in her car you're going to think high school/college. If I tell you she has just sent her childern to school, you're going to think late twenties/early thirties. If I tell you she has a flat chest and is wearing white cotton panties and frilly socks you're going to think that she's a single digit number of years old.
It's a funny thing. We have had discussions before about the moral issues of age and rape. I have to tell you that as a (fantasy) rapist I can live with rules and regulations but I doubt seriously if (real) rapists give any thoughts to what age the vic is. They are driven by the lusts that drive them, be they lusts for large breasts, red hair, little girls or what ever.
But I understand the need to have limits when you're trying to insure the continued availability of a forum for our conversations! And if the stories don't let you fantasize good enough, just close your eyes and draw pictures in your own mind and whank away! :)
