I just want to come out and Say that i am against the modification to the picture posting rules, I thought the way they were was fine. I voiced all of my concerns in the thread about fake permissions a while back so i will refrain from reposting them.

I know that since I don't post pictures I don't have much of a say or much right to talk I just figured I would put my opinion out there

And before all hell breaks loose over this matter, please note the wording of the announcement... it WAS decided but the result was far from unanimous.

I had no intention of inciting a riot, and I hope My words don't have that effect, I just simply wanted to express my feelings on the matter. I trust the mods to make the best decisions for the board... even if I don't happen to agree in this instance...

hmm after reading that new rule I'm going to probably have to take my leave from rapeboard. *shakes his head* That's just utter bullshit. Hope it changes. I pray(and being a borderline aethist that should tell you how I feel) it changes.

um, I dont see a difference. Its the same pretty much and nothing will change.

Difference is any douche can log onto facebook grab a photo of some man or woman and bring it here and say 'she likes to be raped, how would you do it?' or 'she deserves to be raped, how would you do it?' and they(the mods) won't pull it down until the person in the photo comes and tells them to take it down.

I wonder when they will come to the board and ask for it to be taken down? After someone who can't distinguish fantasy from reality violates them or harrasses them? Eh....*is just going to wait and see what happens*

ohhhh....but how do you know? How do you know the person swiped it from facebook or something? Like before, there was a rule...no posting pictures without permission...the rule still stands....so I guess I dont understand...the rule is the same.

Yeah, that really sucks.....good thing my Myspace is private.

as i understand it ... the only change is they won't be having those people lie to them anymore .

ie ... yes i have permission to post these .

if someone wants to post pics does anyone really think typing that in will stop them . nothing else has really changed , unless i'm missing something

I wonder why Ragman chosen the Rowdy room for this thread.
and about the new rule I'm agree with Phantom that the the world of Somedude and the mods here and they knows that better than anyone, and they see many things that many members may don't see, also protecting the board is their role,so let them chose the suitable rules which they see.

I chose the rowdy room because I know this board and While I don't intend to reduce myself to profanities and petty insults I am sure there are posters out there who Might, and rather than risk inciting an argument like that somewhere else I figured I might as well start it here where something like that won't get in the way of the actual issue.

I have a lot of respect for the mods, and I am fully aware that the decisions they make are based on things I probably have no knowlege of, I still think is a poor decision.

A person Who doesn't come or even know about this site would never be able to report to the mods that their picture was up without their permission. I dunno the policy just feels like snake handling, its dangerous and I hope it doesn't turn around and bite the board in the ass

Using common sense for one, knowing some dude who will only post a picture of their girlfriend but not THEMSELVES.

I would rather the mods who put up the rule take into account the safety and rep of someone else who may be hurt because of someone...oh fuck it. I'm not wasting my time. Taking a break to see what happens, if it doesn't change than :skull-bee to all those who I've enjoyed conversating and bullshitting with here :D

With the new picture rule, you won't have the moderators interrupting the thread by asking if permission has been granted. In a way, it relieves the burden of having to ask a member every single time when nothing has been clarified and allows the thread to flow.

Now a downside to all of this is I could post a picture of my ex on here and talk about all the ways I want to violate her without her permission and even without using her full name. The chances of her finding out are very small because it is extremely unlikely that anyone here knows her enough to alert her to the picture I posted.

Honestly I see the new rule isn't good and I was hope it would allow the person only who is in the photo to share it in the board, but maybe the mods see many things farther than me.and in the end they are the responsible.

Yes indeed Wise Prophet! Let the Mods take care of us. After all they know better than us what is needed here.

Right or wrong we should obey what they put down for us as far as rules here go!!:skull-thu :skull-thu :D

Yea, I know. The rule sucks. It needs to be changed. Some flaws if they think about it but I'm sure it won't be thought about until it happens *shakes his head and sips on his Pepsi waiting patiently for this stupid ass rule to be changed back.*
